About the internship
PayU's Financial Controllership team is a core part of its Finance organisation. It looks after financial accuracy, compliance and reporting, and works with business operations, tax, legal, external auditors and senior leaders. PayU is hiring a Finance Controllership Intern in Mumbai for its CA internship program. You work alongside senior controllership professionals and learn financial reporting, accounting processes, internal controls and audit coordination in a fast-growing fintech company.
What you will do
- Help with monthly, quarterly and annual financial close across business units and subsidiaries
- Support statutory financial statements, management reports and regulatory filings
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, with proper supporting documents
- Help coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit
- Support the setup and testing of internal controls over financial reporting (SOX)
- Help keep accounting policies, procedures and process improvements documented
- Help prepare board reporting packs and control summaries for senior leaders
- Support analysis of the accounting treatment for new products and complex transactions
- Maintain automated reconciliation processes and reporting templates, and watch compliance with accounting standards
